- The panther run has been a great local race for many years. It’s old school obstacle course racing with mud, hills, and a good use of terrain. A great bang for the buck, and a great place to start racing if you’re new to sport. The distance is very doable by the rookie racer and challenging enough for the experiencedread moreread lessCal Burr1/22/2019We enjoyed Pierre's on 2 nights. 1st visit was to the bar on the lower level which is beautifully appointed. The guys stayed inside and the girls went outside on the veranda to watch the sunset. Pierre makes a mean cocktail. We enjoyed it so much that we came back for dinner and sat at a table outside on the upper veranda. The hotel is decorated in a West Indies style - it is very comfortable. Service was attentive and the manager came and checked on our meal. We had the bone in filet mignon and the lobster curry. There was nothing left by the end of the meal. Dress code is a bit all over the map but I was comfortable wearing palazzo pants and Joe had a dressy Hawaiian shirt with slacks.read moreread lessDeb S5/22/2018Wow! Just Wow! Visited here with my wife for our 28th anniversary celebration…and were absolutely thrilled with the ambiance, view and the exceptional service. Not to mention the food! My wife booked the reservation on Open Table and the staff recognized it was our anniversary and offered two flutes of complimentary champagne. We asked for outdoor seating and were given a table on the second floor balcony, overlooking Florida Bay…and a perfect view of an unusually vibrant summertime sunset. Our server was exceptional; knowledgeable, professional and attentive. Our dining adventure began with the Yellowfin Tuna tartar on an avocado mash topped with pistachio sprinkles appetizer. I have never had fresher tuna! For the main course, I had a magnificently prepared Grilled Prime 8 ounce Beef Filet (almost didn’t need a knife) and my wife feasted on the Thyme Roasted Free Range Chicken. Our meals were finely paired with a lovely Flying B 2017 Cab from the Walla Walla Valley…and we tipped off our dining experience with a vibrant Key Lime tart. Our experience at Pierre’s was memorable, enjoyable and value-laden. Make sure to visit their Mahogany bar too! Definitely worth the visit!read moreread less404donk9/18/2021
- We enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal at Pierre’s. They brought us each a small baked Brie dish with honey, nuts and apples that was delicious! The pumpkin curry soup was some of the best soup I’ve ever had with such a unique flavor. The hot apple cobbler a la mode desert was simply scrumptious and so was the key lime tart. The traditional thanksgiving entree was ok, with the light fluffy stuffing being the highlight. The seafood entree option was perfectly prepared, but a pretty small piece of fish. Overall, a nice meal even for the $70 per person price on the holiday, except for the vegetarian option. I called in advance to inquire about their vegetarian gluten free options and they said they would have something to accommodate. Well, they served my daughter an entree with mashed potatoes and green beans (a subset of the traditional thanksgiving food), said it could be bottomless and still charged us $70. Seemed like a weak attempt on their part. We had a large group and they put us jn a nice table in the bar, as the upstairs is currently closed while they fix hurricane damage. Overall, a pleasant experience for the family and grateful for a nice thanksgiving meal while traveling.read moreread lessJulie S12/03/2017Service, location and excellent food....the triple threat! This my 4th visit to Pierre's over about as many years. We occasionally spend a long weekend in the Upper Keys, from Miami. We have had consistently good food each time and the setting is beautiful, located on a little inlet/ bay with sand. It is more elegant than the setting suggest and is perfect for a romantic night or a solid good quality meal. This time we visited while on Memorial Day weekend. I started with the octopus and it was solid, not gooey and had an almost crispy texture. I followed with the duck, which was rich and cooked perfectly. My wife had the Chilean Sea bass over a puree of artichoke, which was the special...and special it was. The fish was fresh and meaty, but delicate in flavor and the puree was indescribably subtle and perfect texture. We also tasted the escargot in a voulevant pastry which was as flaky and decadent as the escargot were rich and tasty. The shrimp was good as well, not overdone, as can be the case. The dessert selection which we sampled included the key lime tart, creamy but light in a thick flavorful graham cracker crust, a dulce de leche cheese cake, also very rich, but not too sweet, and the creme brulee which was the best of the three with a smooth delicious pudding covered with a crispy brittle caramel crust. We did take our own wine, and the corkage fee was quite steep, especially for the Keys ($50). But, I saved the best comments for the last. Our server, Ellen Grace, was attentive and on top of every detail. She knew each dish down to the smallest detail, at one point going back to the kitchen to inquire about the pastry because she wanted/needed to get it right. Such professionalism in a server is hard to find and a mark of an excellent restaurant and its attention to detail. We will return again and look for Ellen Grace for another amazing dining experience.read moreread less161juancarlosv5/31/2021Excellent dinner on the 2nd floor outdoors We had a great meal. Tuna tartare appetizer, local catch, and a bottle of wine. Kids ate off the kids menu. Our server Ellen Grace was fantastic and recommended an Oregon Pinot that was perfect. Would recommend this for food, atmosphere and service.read moreread lessbenpRockitX2/21/2021

The only thing I can say: The café is located in the most beautiful corner of this world and served the best food you can think of. Our Ahi tuna was fantastic, the staff was great and the view stunning. I hope, we will return there one day!read moreread lessWagnerin5/16/2019
- This was my first run ever! Our team had A blast!, However a lil bummed that the slide was cut off due to accidents. The drinks were varied and sublime but soon it was time to move upstairs to the balcony for our dinner. The sun shades adjusted to keep the heat down, we settled in for one more cocktail, and a bottle of Shafer cab. The onion soup? Excellent and hot enough to make me forget the sun. The foie gras? My table mates raved. It's not pate, it's the actual liver so you're getting the real thing. If you're unfamiliar with sous vide cooking, learn how the experts do it by ordering the veal cheeks. Triple tail was on the menu so two of us ventured there to great acclaim. The place is expensive but they deliver value. As the sun set, the shades went up, the breeze came alive and the view through the palms made the setting perfect. I'm hard to impress. I was impressed. My only regret? The party of four celebrating a birthday at an adjacent table failed to offer us a slice of their cake even though we sang along. Oh, well.read moreread lessPaulR3544/19/2021
- Ellen Grace is the best! What a wonderful evening! We started out on the porch to get a great view of the sunset, but a storm came up and we moved inside. Ellen Grace (our server) is a consummate professional. Totally unflustered by the near-hurricane brewing, she whisked us inside without missing a beat and our fabulous meal continued uninterrupted. The soft shell crab app, French onion soup, and duck breast entree were all wonderful. My only criticism of the night was that the pork chop special I ordered was 50% more costly than any other entree. If that’s the case, I think the price should be mentioned when listing the specials. Otherwise a perfect dining experience that shouldn’t be missed in Islamorada. Still the best view of the sunset in town!read moreread lessByrdmanDetroit4/11/2021The restaurant is a lovely colonial style building with curious Indian accent interiors. We had an outside table on the balcony overlooking the Gulf so a quite magnificent sunset. Food was beautifully fresh and nicely presented. We had the seafood tower to share which was great and then lobster and yellowtail, both beautifully presented. I notice there's not much use of dedicated garlic flavours in the places and as a Brit I miss it with the lovely fresh seafood. We didn't make cheap choices so our bill was high but what we expected. Service was pleasant but on occasion a little inattentive (needed reminding for a drinks order for example) but nothing that spoiled a really lovely meal.read moreread lessCL M4/10/2018Outstanding! Careful of prices though Atmosphere is beautiful- located right on the water. Although when we visited it was windy and cold, the outside seating looks amazing. We ate indoors and dining was lovely. We had oysters to start which were outstanding. I had the Triple tail fish and it did not disappoint. My husband had the special. It was Iberico pork. We usually don’t chose pork when fresh fish is on the menu, but in this case the pork was incredible. Everything we ate was amazing, service was excellent. My only complaint is that we were not told ahead of time the price of the special. Although the pork was good, at $85 my husband thought he would’ve picked fish had he known that. We never would’ve thought it was that much.read moreread lessbldavis41/01/1970
- This restaurant really exceeded This restaurant really exceeded my expectations. We arrived about 90 minutes ahead of our reservation time to watch the sunset. The outdoor lounge are is perfectly lovely. They have little fire pits at several of the couches and it was so cozy and inviting. Service was great.
The restaurant itself is such a beautiful old building and the inside bar and lounge is old school classy. I loved it.
We were seated on the upper balcony right on the water. The views are amazing. This coming from a life long Floridian who has visited many Caribbean locations.
The food and presentation was beautiful. We had several different appetizers and lobster curry. It was a bit eclectic with an interesting mix of flavors. Desserts were unfortunately underwhelming but everything else made up for it. Highly recommend this upscale causal restaurant if you are visiting Islamorada.read moreread lessLuxTravelMama3/14/2021Absolutely Beautiful Sunset We went to Pierre's for drinks and the views were amazing! I cannot comment on the food however we took our beverages outside and sat on the beach just in time for sunset. Bartender was incredibly friendly. Would definitely go back for the view alone but would also like to try to food as it looked amazing.read moreread lessKristina T5/07/2019
