We went to Pierres two nights in a row during our spring break vacation. The first night was with a reservation we made in advance and we were given a beautiful table overlooking the water on the upper veranda. The next night we wanted to go back but we didn’t have a reservation, so we tried our luck at finding a seat on the beach in front and eating from the bar menu. We were lucky and had a wonderful experience twice. I left one of my cherished jackets at the restaurant and didn’t realize it until we left Islamorada. One of the managers, Sandra, was kind enough to take the time to mail my jacket back to me even though it was one of the busiest times of the year for the restaurant. We went to dinner at Pierre’s for our daughters birthday, spent close to $1,000.00 for 12 people however, 3 people in our party shared the lion fish sashimi, all 3 became ill with vomiting soon after. The manager Andreas , denied anyone could have become sick and treated the situation as a joke. The manager is NOT a doctor and has zero clue how toxins affect the body when bacteria is introduced. There were 2 doctors in our party, both had the lion sashimi, both were very sick along with the 3rd person who was the birthday girl. We are locals and we have eaten at Pierre’s often however, won’t be back after the terrible treatment of their manager, Andreas is probably the worst restaurant manager I have ever dealt with. Especially, when people became ill eating at a restaurant he manages. I will also be emailing the health department in reference to the cleanliness of the restaurant read more -
Tim WhoDat EmersonPanther run 2017 was my first OCR! It was rough and tough but I had a blast! Even after 3-4 months of serious training, the course and obstacles we very challenging! Can't wait to do it again next year! The only thing I didn't like was there are no safety nets or padding around some of the climbing walls/frames but I attempted and completed each one!
