- We were 2 couples to eat at this location. Service was friendly. Our friends had tuna dishes, my wife had a quinoa spinach salad while I had the salmon dish. The food was excellent, properly cooked and well presented.
The location is marvelous, near the water and white sand very close.

We had the burger, ahi tuna, and 2 fish dishes. All dishes were perfect, except my fish was a little chewy.
It would be 5 stars, but I took a star away due to the bad service we got. Our waiter seemed very snooty and rude to us, especially when we couldn’t pronounce the French items on the menu, asked any questions, and declined any appetizers or desserts.
We were dressed more casually and brought our child, who is very well behaved, however the waiter seemed very unfriendly and terse towards us. Our family dines mostly at finer establishments, and have never felt looked down upon by other waiters, except at this restaurant. The waiter also had a long list of specials and items not listed on the menu that he recited verbally with thick accent, which I am not a fan of as it is too hard to remember. When I asked him to repeat himself, he seemed in a bad mood. The rest of the wait staff seemed nice but we were not comfortable with our waiter. He never smiled or seemed very enthusiastic or happy to be at work at all.
I would definitely return to Pierre’s but hope for a better, and more friendly wait staff, and menu items to actually be written on the menu.read moreread lessPassenger76186110/12/2020 - Fantastic service makes this extra special There are lots of spots to get great food, at Pierre's we had outstanding service at both visits, making this a step above. We were at the 9:30 new year's eve seating. what could have been a less-than-stellar experience ended up being a really nice night. I think that logistically, there were a lot of people moving around about the time we got there at 8:45, making it feel less special and intimate than we thought, given the pricetag. We wanted to check out the beach and the lovely building, but opted not to wander too far. There was security to get into the restaurant/beach area and more security to get into the restaurant, all monitored by colored wrist bands. There was nothing keeping us from moving around, we simply didn't know the area and opted to stay close so that we could be seated on time. The earlier seating was trying to leave as our seating was arriving, and all in a small foyer, so a little chaotic. However, once we got upstairs to our table, overlooking the beach, all was wonderful. Our server, Dawn, couldn't have been more wonderful or accommodating to our food allergies, etc. (there was not a choice for the meal, and it wasn't announced beforehand, so we needed some help making adjustments based on allergies) We both enjoyed our meals, watched the fireworks from the balcony over dessert and enjoyed chatting with a few other diners. We'd heard such good things about the food from locals, we wanted to give the restaurant another try, to choose our own meals and see how we did. Everything was wonderful and luckily, we had Dawn the next night! We found the wine menu to give us plenty to choose from, both our meals were quite good and of course, don't miss dessert!read moreread lessKellyF561/13/2020We came for dinner on her special birthday. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old style Southern mansion (although only built 20 years ago). The decoration of both downstairs bar and upstairs restaurant is tasteful and Southern style romantic. There is an outside porch for al fresco dining and watching fabulous sunsets. The wait staff is very professional and especially our lead waitress (a dark hair lady with South American accent) did a perfect job. Professional, courteous, attentive while non intruding. And the food! Absolutely fresh and prepared to perfection! We started with the seafood tower, followed by the Seafood Curry and Tuna, concluded with Key Lime Tart. All excellent in ingredients, preparation and presentation. A true treat! An extensive wine list rounds out the experience. The restaurant also a backyard sandy beach area with outdoor furniture and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the night sky and that last cocktail. We had been to other restaurants in Islamorada, but this is by far the best. Worth the money! Highly recommended!read moreread lessGoGlobalMan8/13/2018
- Absolutely Beautiful Sunset We went to Pierre's for drinks and the views were amazing! I cannot comment on the food however we took our beverages outside and sat on the beach just in time for sunset. Bartender was incredibly friendly. Would definitely go back for the view alone but would also like to try to food as it looked amazing.read moreread lessKristina T5/07/2019The food was good but overpriced. The food was good but overpriced. Service was excellent. However, I had a hard time getting past the slamming door to the patio. Every time the wait staff went between the interior and exterior seating ( every 30-40 seconds) the door slammed loudly and vibrated the whole interior. The low lighting and soft music was not enough to compensate for this.read moreread lessTereM_1210/05/2020We enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal at Pierre’s. They brought us each a small baked Brie dish with honey, nuts and apples that was delicious! The pumpkin curry soup was some of the best soup I’ve ever had with such a unique flavor. The hot apple cobbler a la mode desert was simply scrumptious and so was the key lime tart. The traditional thanksgiving entree was ok, with the light fluffy stuffing being the highlight. The seafood entree option was perfectly prepared, but a pretty small piece of fish. Overall, a nice meal even for the $70 per person price on the holiday, except for the vegetarian option. I called in advance to inquire about their vegetarian gluten free options and they said they would have something to accommodate. Well, they served my daughter an entree with mashed potatoes and green beans (a subset of the traditional thanksgiving food), said it could be bottomless and still charged us $70. Seemed like a weak attempt on their part. We had a large group and they put us jn a nice table in the bar, as the upstairs is currently closed while they fix hurricane damage. Overall, a pleasant experience for the family and grateful for a nice thanksgiving meal while traveling.read moreread lessJulie S12/03/2017
- Pierre’s Excellent atmosphere, great view and good service. Waiter was knowledgeable of the menu. Went with my girlfriend and ordered french onion soup, octopus and the special of the day which was salmon with brussels sprouts and brown rice. French Onion soup was definitely my favorite. Somewhat expensive but worth the money.read moreread lessjpquintero1/01/1970Well when it come to “fine Dining” in Islamorada there is little else to touch the venue, location and service of this restaurant.
We booked a table by phone with Sandra the day before our anniversary dinner and found her to be extremely professional and helpful with no difficulty in understanding my English accent or our requirements which can not be said for a number of restaurants in the area.
Sandra then met us on the evening and gave us a choice of tables.
Wine list choice was good and pricing reasonable for this area. My only minor complaint was the quality of the actual food menus (not the food on them) but the style and condition of the menus being something found a roadside bar or diner.
Daily specials very good
Overall good meal experienceread moreread lessChef21125/26/2018Great food but the service......eh Great food but the service was less than stellar. The server never asked if we wanted another drink even though he picked up our empty glasses. Nerve came back to check on our food or how we liked it.
The food was outstanding, the experience disappointed.read moreread lessbwah62401/17/2021 - What an amazing race!!!! Tuna tartar appetizer was tasty.
Fish of the day special was delicious, really fresh.
Plenty of dessert on the menu. The Pierre’s crepe was good but a bit heavy filling.

We occasionally spend a long weekend in the Upper Keys, from Miami. We have had consistently good food each time and the setting is beautiful, located on a little inlet/ bay with sand. It is more elegant than the setting suggest and is perfect for a romantic night or a solid good quality meal. This time we visited while on Memorial Day weekend. I started with the octopus and it was solid, not gooey and had an almost crispy texture. I followed with the duck, which was rich and cooked perfectly. My wife had the Chilean Sea bass over a puree of artichoke, which was the special...and special it was. The fish was fresh and meaty, but delicate in flavor and the puree was indescribably subtle and perfect texture. We also tasted the escargot in a voulevant pastry which was as flaky and decadent as the escargot were rich and tasty. The shrimp was good as well, not overdone, as can be the case. The dessert selection which we sampled included the key lime tart, creamy but light in a thick flavorful graham cracker crust, a dulce de leche cheese cake, also very rich, but not too sweet, and the creme brulee which was the best of the three with a smooth delicious pudding covered with a crispy brittle caramel crust. We did take our own wine, and the corkage fee was quite steep, especially for the Keys ($50). But, I saved the best comments for the last. Our server, Ellen Grace, was attentive and on top of every detail. She knew each dish down to the smallest detail, at one point going back to the kitchen to inquire about the pastry because she wanted/needed to get it right. Such professionalism in a server is hard to find and a mark of an excellent restaurant and its attention to detail. We will return again and look for Ellen Grace for another amazing dining experience.read moreread less161juancarlosv5/31/2021
