- Don’t miss out on Pierre’s make a reservation before you go Beautiful setting to watch the sunset over a well prepared meal. Was almost too nice for the keys. Was an unexpected highlight of fun trip to the Keys.read moreread lesshungrytraveler8133/24/2022This place, simply put, wowed us from start to finish. We were disappointed to find that Pierre's was closed during our visit (though we had made a reservation) and that a pop up bistro was in it's place temporarily. The manger was overly accommodating, gave us the best seat in the house and our service was impeccable. We had SUCH a great night for our 10th anniversary. Couldn't suggest this place more.read moreread less10/24/2018We came for a family celebration and were not disappointed. We started with a bottle of champagne in the bar. The ambiance is very Keyz. Brian our host seated us and as it was quite warm we dined inside by the window. Our server was professional and attentive as was Brian. The food was stupendous. Seafood curry was both a visual and tasty treat. The seafood tower was a great presentation and the oysters were excellent. Good wine list and reasonable. Very expensive but a wonderful and memorable timeread moreread lessWinnieTavernier7/08/2018
- This is one of my favorite races! Today was my 2nd year running it and the race was better than ever! I can't wait to see what they have in store for next year 😀read moreread lessDanielle Butterfield6/13/2015Ellen Grace is the best! What a wonderful evening! We started out on the porch to get a great view of the sunset, but a storm came up and we moved inside. Ellen Grace (our server) is a consummate professional. Totally unflustered by the near-hurricane brewing, she whisked us inside without missing a beat and our fabulous meal continued uninterrupted. The soft shell crab app, French onion soup, and duck breast entree were all wonderful. My only criticism of the night was that the pork chop special I ordered was 50% more costly than any other entree. If that’s the case, I think the price should be mentioned when listing the specials. Otherwise a perfect dining experience that shouldn’t be missed in Islamorada. Still the best view of the sunset in town!read moreread lessByrdmanDetroit4/11/2021Not just the view, the food is the best! Beautiful views and delicious food! We went to celebrate my 40th birthday, and I felt celebrated from the moment I walked in by everyone from the hostess to our server to the chef who came out during service. We brought our own wine - a special 40 year old bottle! Which our server decanted for us right away. Cocktails while we waited for the wine to breathe were delicious, and the butter lettuce and escargot were out of this world! I had the yellowtail snapper special, which was huge and so tasty! The slaw on top to the fish, yummmm!! My boyfriend got the surf and turf, which was so good he almost forgot to share with me! The birthday crème brûlée was a perfect finish. This place was a perfect celebration spot for the two of us. Thank you, Pierre’s! Oh and the sunset wasn’t too bad either!!read moreread lessChristine H9/02/2023
- The restaurant is a lovely colonial style building with curious Indian accent interiors. We had an outside table on the balcony overlooking the Gulf so a quite magnificent sunset. Food was beautifully fresh and nicely presented. We had the seafood tower to share which was great and then lobster and yellowtail, both beautifully presented. I notice there's not much use of dedicated garlic flavours in the places and as a Brit I miss it with the lovely fresh seafood. We didn't make cheap choices so our bill was high but what we expected. Service was pleasant but on occasion a little inattentive (needed reminding for a drinks order for example) but nothing that spoiled a really lovely meal.read moreread lessCL M4/10/2018Burgers, Martinis and Claire the Bartender! My sister and I went to Pierre’s to watch sunset and decided to go inside after and eat at the bar. Our bartender, Claire, was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations. We had the French onion soup and Kobe burger- it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Claire made a few different cocktails, the expresso martini being one of her specialties! Claire’s personality and attentiveness made us feel very welcome and we had a great time talking to her and learning more about the town (she’s a local). We will definitely go back to sit at the bar with Claire! Thanks for the great service, we had a blast!read moreread less451jaimek10/01/2020Magical! Our experience at Pierre’s was so magical that we returned to the bar every evening. Joshua made our time at Pierre’s memorable. He’s charming, attentive and a world-class bartender. Highly recommend the cucumber martini but all the drinks were perfectly mixed. Oh yes, the food is delicious, too! Make sure you go to the bar on the main floor and if the weather permits walk on outside to the sand beach and enjoy the beautiful waterfront setting. You won’t regret it!read moreread lessExtraordinary4686371/20/2020
- Fantastic service makes this extra special There are lots of spots to get great food, at Pierre's we had outstanding service at both visits, making this a step above. We were at the 9:30 new year's eve seating. what could have been a less-than-stellar experience ended up being a really nice night. I think that logistically, there were a lot of people moving around about the time we got there at 8:45, making it feel less special and intimate than we thought, given the pricetag. We wanted to check out the beach and the lovely building, but opted not to wander too far. There was security to get into the restaurant/beach area and more security to get into the restaurant, all monitored by colored wrist bands. There was nothing keeping us from moving around, we simply didn't know the area and opted to stay close so that we could be seated on time. The earlier seating was trying to leave as our seating was arriving, and all in a small foyer, so a little chaotic. However, once we got upstairs to our table, overlooking the beach, all was wonderful. Our server, Dawn, couldn't have been more wonderful or accommodating to our food allergies, etc. (there was not a choice for the meal, and it wasn't announced beforehand, so we needed some help making adjustments based on allergies) We both enjoyed our meals, watched the fireworks from the balcony over dessert and enjoyed chatting with a few other diners. We'd heard such good things about the food from locals, we wanted to give the restaurant another try, to choose our own meals and see how we did. Everything was wonderful and luckily, we had Dawn the next night! We found the wine menu to give us plenty to choose from, both our meals were quite good and of course, don't miss dessert!read moreread lessKellyF561/13/2020This was my first obstacle course and it didn't disappoint. We have been overwhelmed by the beauty of the place at sunset and the kindness of the staff that paper us all evening. And then the food was above ours expectations! - Not your average beach restaurant What a surprise to find elegant dining at the beach! Although I had to tell our lovely serving person, Ellen Grace, how to make a regular Daiquiri (non frozen) ,she made one perfectly. Our meals was unique and delicious. And you cannot beat the gracious surroundings!read moreread lessU1862MUaprils2/28/2021Great food but the service......eh Great food but the service was less than stellar. The server never asked if we wanted another drink even though he picked up our empty glasses. Nerve came back to check on our food or how we liked it.
The food was outstanding, the experience disappointed.read moreread lessbwah62401/17/2021Wow! Just Wow! Visited here with my wife for our 28th anniversary celebration…and were absolutely thrilled with the ambiance, view and the exceptional service. Not to mention the food! My wife booked the reservation on Open Table and the staff recognized it was our anniversary and offered two flutes of complimentary champagne. We asked for outdoor seating and were given a table on the second floor balcony, overlooking Florida Bay…and a perfect view of an unusually vibrant summertime sunset. Our server was exceptional; knowledgeable, professional and attentive. Our dining adventure began with the Yellowfin Tuna tartar on an avocado mash topped with pistachio sprinkles appetizer. I have never had fresher tuna! For the main course, I had a magnificently prepared Grilled Prime 8 ounce Beef Filet (almost didn’t need a knife) and my wife feasted on the Thyme Roasted Free Range Chicken. Our meals were finely paired with a lovely Flying B 2017 Cab from the Walla Walla Valley…and we tipped off our dining experience with a vibrant Key Lime tart. Our experience at Pierre’s was memorable, enjoyable and value-laden. Make sure to visit their Mahogany bar too! Definitely worth the visit!read moreread less404donk9/18/2021 - Stunning. Wow. Outstanding in all aspects. First, the setting is incredible. Amazing sunset views and beautiful restaurant. Food was outstanding. Tried hogfish for the first time. Service was very good, which is hard to come by these days. Not inexpensive, but worth it. A few tips- we got there before six and had a drink at the bar before dinner during happy hour, which offers reduced prices. Pierre's has chairs out on the beach so you can grab a drink and watch the sunset if you don't have an outdoor finner table.read moreread lessisland1395/03/2023Get Swept Away To Something Exotic One of the things I like about Pierre's is the atmosphere. The decor alone sweeps you away to another continent with their heavy wooden doors and wooden frame accents, imported from what looks like Bali.
Reservations are a must if you want to experience the full menu but there is plenty of seating in the bar with a limited menu that is delightful.
For this trip, we sat upstairs in the formal dining room at a small table for two. The balcony offers outside dining but being that we live in Florida year round, the cool temps inside were much more appealing. I had the Florida Lobster Curry which was a feast for the eyes, although being a total curry lover, it could have used some extra sauce. For dessert, I had the creme brûlée which if I could have licked the bowl, I would have.
My husband had the Grilled Octopus App which for me was a bit undercooked. I have a preference for charred however he enjoyed it immensely. Note that they do not advertise that there is pork in the recipe. For his entree, he enjoyed the Truffle Vegetable Gnocchi which was heavenly. A delicious vegetarian option with pops of crunch from fresh corn. Dessert was the Key Lime Pie.
Now for service. It was flat out weird. Our waiter never introduced himself to us, had this odd habit of wearing his personalized mask to walk to and from our table but as soon as he got to the table, would pop the mask off and talk. He also didn't ask if we wanted a cocktail while we perused the menu. He was efficient but that is about all that he gets.
In essence, go for the atmosphere, the food and the unusual blends of cocktails but let go of any expectation on service.read moreread lessYvette S5/22/2023Beautiful venue. Hostess accommodated Beautiful venue. Hostess accommodated our seating requests. Waitress Melanie was excellent and even set us up on the Veranda when a table came available for dessert after dining inside. Appetizers are overpriced in my opinion. Mains are pricey by Keys’ standards comparable to NYC metro area prices. Everyone in our group of 7 enjoyed our meals.read moreread lessSteve B1/19/2020
