I enjoyed it immensely. However, I highly recommend having a separate, timed competitive wave that's eligible for awards or simple bragging rights (as most races do) to ensure your placements of top racers are accurate & all obstacles were indeed completed in the finish time recorded. This keeps race conditions comparable for competitve racers & lends confidence that top runners indeed came in ahead of participants in a later waves when bottlenecks start happening tempting people may skip obstacles etc. and thus "finish faster." It keeps it a more fair playing field - apples to apples, not apples to oranges. read less

The guys stayed inside and the girls went outside on the veranda to watch the sunset. Pierre makes a mean cocktail. We enjoyed it so much that we came back for dinner and sat at a table outside on the upper veranda. The hotel is decorated in a West Indies style - it is very comfortable. Service was attentive and the manager came and checked on our meal. We had the bone in filet mignon and the lobster curry. There was nothing left by the end of the meal. Dress code is a bit all over the map but I was comfortable wearing palazzo pants and Joe had a dressy Hawaiian shirt with slacks. read less

From the first phone call to find out about the event we had all our questions answered by a very courteous
person. Sandra explained all the packages available from VIP seating to an early buffet. We went with the buffet. It was like a private party from 6 to 9:00. The food was amazing. The entertainment was even better. They had live music the whole evening. A Junkanoo parade. A fantastic fireworks display at midnight with a Brazilian festive parade to finish the night.
We will most definitely be returning next year and will definitely recommend our friends and family to join us. I would like to thank the staff at Pierre’s for your professionalism and courteous treatment to our family. We had an amazing time. read less

Not to mention the food! My wife booked the reservation on Open Table and the staff recognized it was our anniversary and offered two flutes of complimentary champagne. We asked for outdoor seating and were given a table on the second floor balcony, overlooking Florida Bay…and a perfect view of an unusually vibrant summertime sunset. Our server was exceptional; knowledgeable, professional and attentive. Our dining adventure began with the Yellowfin Tuna tartar on an avocado mash topped with pistachio sprinkles appetizer. I have never had fresher tuna! For the main course, I had a magnificently prepared Grilled Prime 8 ounce Beef Filet (almost didn’t need a knife) and my wife feasted on the Thyme Roasted Free Range Chicken. Our meals were finely paired with a lovely Flying B 2017 Cab from the Walla Walla Valley…and we tipped off our dining experience with a vibrant Key Lime tart. Our experience at Pierre’s was memorable, enjoyable and value-laden. Make sure to visit their Mahogany bar too! Definitely worth the visit! read less

This place has almost (see below) everything going for it. The food is the star and should be the reason you come here, above all else...it is spectacular. Our party tried four different appetizers from the foie gras to the octopus and all were spectacular. Our entrees were equally fantastic, from the veal chop special to the curried lobster (not many dishes are presented with half a coconut on the plate!). We all marveled at the meal and enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor spaces. This is quite the place and a must-stop for a foodie!
The only negative was a wine list that seemed to scream...look how expensive these wines are instead of look what a great wine list we have. That being said, there are some gems on it... read less
