- Always so good The staff and service was impeccable. We never had an empty glass and ghe menu choices are incredible. We started off with the shrimp, then had the scrumpcious butter lettuce salads and then shared the scallops, steak, and chicken for dinner, followed by the delicious key lime pie for dessert. With the sand and sea and breeze and sunset as the backdrop for the perfect setting and meal. We have never ever had a bad meal there. And I want to say again, the service was so good - very attentive.read moreread lessKwmadd6/11/2022Ellen Grace is the best! What a wonderful evening! We started out on the porch to get a great view of the sunset, but a storm came up and we moved inside. Ellen Grace (our server) is a consummate professional. Totally unflustered by the near-hurricane brewing, she whisked us inside without missing a beat and our fabulous meal continued uninterrupted. The soft shell crab app, French onion soup, and duck breast entree were all wonderful. My only criticism of the night was that the pork chop special I ordered was 50% more costly than any other entree. If that’s the case, I think the price should be mentioned when listing the specials. Otherwise a perfect dining experience that shouldn’t be missed in Islamorada. Still the best view of the sunset in town!read moreread lessByrdmanDetroit4/11/2021
- Service, location and excellent food....the triple threat! This my 4th visit to Pierre's over about as many years. We occasionally spend a long weekend in the Upper Keys, from Miami. We have had consistently good food each time and the setting is beautiful, located on a little inlet/ bay with sand. It is more elegant than the setting suggest and is perfect for a romantic night or a solid good quality meal. This time we visited while on Memorial Day weekend. I started with the octopus and it was solid, not gooey and had an almost crispy texture. I followed with the duck, which was rich and cooked perfectly. My wife had the Chilean Sea bass over a puree of artichoke, which was the special...and special it was. The fish was fresh and meaty, but delicate in flavor and the puree was indescribably subtle and perfect texture. We also tasted the escargot in a voulevant pastry which was as flaky and decadent as the escargot were rich and tasty. The shrimp was good as well, not overdone, as can be the case. The dessert selection which we sampled included the key lime tart, creamy but light in a thick flavorful graham cracker crust, a dulce de leche cheese cake, also very rich, but not too sweet, and the creme brulee which was the best of the three with a smooth delicious pudding covered with a crispy brittle caramel crust. We did take our own wine, and the corkage fee was quite steep, especially for the Keys ($50). But, I saved the best comments for the last. Our server, Ellen Grace, was attentive and on top of every detail. She knew each dish down to the smallest detail, at one point going back to the kitchen to inquire about the pastry because she wanted/needed to get it right. Such professionalism in a server is hard to find and a mark of an excellent restaurant and its attention to detail. We will return again and look for Ellen Grace for another amazing dining experience.read moreread less161juancarlosv5/31/2021highly reccommend The service and food at Pierres was impeccable. To start with our reservation , on open table , did not go through, When we arrived the hostess was understanding and was able to get us a table after a short wait. THe waiter explained the menu and made suggestions, Food came out quickly and hot. Everything was delicious and the waiter was excellent, He had a very large party come in and had another waitress check on us to take our dessert order so we did not have to wait. I would skip dessert here , although very good was noting specialread moreread lessnycvactioner12/27/2021
- Worth the detour What a beautiful place in a magnificent setting! My first visit to the Keys was somewhat disappointing. Dirty and disorganized were the first things that came to mind while arriving on the first islands. We did some Netflixtourism and visit the Rayburns hotel from Bloodline. Pierre is their restaurant, not immediately attached but on the other side of the toad. But we were not disappointed. Beautiful outside seating on the veranda on the second floor with sunsetviews. And the food was simply great! I recommend to make a detour to have dinner at this place!read moreread lessJohanVG13/03/2019Pierre’s is truly a gem! If I could give 10 stars I would. On vacation for 5 days and came here twice! The food is amazing with a tremendous amount of thought and talent placed into every dish. The servers are passionate and their descriptions are so detailed that you can practically taste the food before it even arrives. Sonny the food and beverage manager is so attentive and yet he is multi tasking their sister location simultaneously. You can tell just by speaking to him for a few minutes how passionate he is about his job. Chance was our server on this night. Steve was the bartender/ server the first night. Come and dine here once and you will see why I can't stop raving about this place. Lastly, the view!! Sit on the patio or take your drinks out by the Oceanside beach chairs they have complete with fire pits. Can’t think of anything more perfect than an 80 degree night at Pierre’s / Morada Bay festivities. The price fixe menu was delicious. The entertainment fabulous as always - similar to their monthly Full Moon Party. If you’re in the Islamorada area and can afford it - this is the place to be for a fun night. It’s classy, not pretentious. A “grown up” venue.read moreread lessGlobetrottingGurl1/01/1970
- A Pierre’s experience is never a disappointment. Have a cocktail in the lounge or on the veranda watching the sunset in a display of breathtaking colors, enjoy the most exquisite cuisine the Keys has to offer and a nightclub atmosphere later in the evening. Plan your trip to include the monthly Full Moon Festival!read moreread lessmec5344/01/2018Amazingly Good with a view This place is amazing from the friendliness of the staff to the awesome service and especially the food. The food was amazing good. I had the prime rib which was amazing and my wife had octopus and she said it was delicious. One of our family members had scallops and he said the were awesome. Our waitress was great and our key lime pie was freshly made and delicious. Highly recommend.read moreread lessdfreviws5/30/2021Great race! I will be back next year! I had a blast this was way harder than the Spartan Race I did a few months earlier! I loved the course i just hated traversing that thick mud ditch at the beginning of the course.. i bet i was carrying 15 lbs of mud the first half of the race from that. Very challenging terrain i loved it!!!read moreread lessJosh Baty5/23/2017
- Always a Fun Sunset Cocktail Spot Our family has enjoyed visiting Pierre's for years... maybe since it first opened. Generally we just visit for appetizers and cocktails on the beach.
The beach may not be "real" (imported sand rather than the usual coral rockiness) but this place feels really "Keys-y". Great outdoor seating --cushioned wicker chairs and sofas --and beds on the beach!--make it a fun place to simply hang out, have a cocktail and enjoy some relaxed conversation.
Great staff. Slightly pricey drinks, but worth it for the views and elegant-yet-mellow atmosphere.
Added bonus: they have a charging station (not a super-charger) in the parking lot for electric cars, so dad was able to juice up his Tesla a bit during our visit.read moreread lessGhiaGirl2/15/2019First Time ever doing this and I had a blast! It was well put together. The only thing that could have made it better would be a concert with Luke Bryan or Eric Church afterwards! Great obstacles.read moreread lessChristopher Young8/25/2014Get Swept Away To Something Exotic One of the things I like about Pierre's is the atmosphere. The decor alone sweeps you away to another continent with their heavy wooden doors and wooden frame accents, imported from what looks like Bali.
Reservations are a must if you want to experience the full menu but there is plenty of seating in the bar with a limited menu that is delightful.
For this trip, we sat upstairs in the formal dining room at a small table for two. The balcony offers outside dining but being that we live in Florida year round, the cool temps inside were much more appealing. I had the Florida Lobster Curry which was a feast for the eyes, although being a total curry lover, it could have used some extra sauce. For dessert, I had the creme brûlée which if I could have licked the bowl, I would have.
My husband had the Grilled Octopus App which for me was a bit undercooked. I have a preference for charred however he enjoyed it immensely. Note that they do not advertise that there is pork in the recipe. For his entree, he enjoyed the Truffle Vegetable Gnocchi which was heavenly. A delicious vegetarian option with pops of crunch from fresh corn. Dessert was the Key Lime Pie.
Now for service. It was flat out weird. Our waiter never introduced himself to us, had this odd habit of wearing his personalized mask to walk to and from our table but as soon as he got to the table, would pop the mask off and talk. He also didn't ask if we wanted a cocktail while we perused the menu. He was efficient but that is about all that he gets.
In essence, go for the atmosphere, the food and the unusual blends of cocktails but let go of any expectation on service.read moreread lessYvette S5/22/2023 - if you want to get lucky go here and get the far right table out on the porch at sunset . very good foodread moreread less10/26/2018Pierre’s Excellent atmosphere, great view and good service. Waiter was knowledgeable of the menu. Went with my girlfriend and ordered french onion soup, octopus and the special of the day which was salmon with brussels sprouts and brown rice. French Onion soup was definitely my favorite. Somewhat expensive but worth the money.read moreread lessjpquintero1/01/1970
